All the meats featured on this site come through meat plants which are certified by the EU food standard agency under licence to be acceptable in Welfare, Hygiene and Conservation, and are sourced under CITES. We have recently been forced to increase our prices on these products - importantly, what you see is what you get with these steaks as there is no fat to trim or shrinkage during the cooking process.

Wildebeest Fillet Steak<br> +/-160g The wildebeest, so named by Dutch settlers which means wild beast, is also known as a gnu and is a large antelope. The animals migrate in herds of more than 1 million in May, where they feed in open woodlands until November, then return to the Serengeti.

Blesbok Fillet Steak<br> +/- 160g These antelope browse on a very wide range of plants including a variety of leaves, herbs, fruits, vines and flowers. They dislike wooded areas, preferring to range the plains. The meat is coarse grained and dark red in colour, and very similar to Kudu and Impala in texture and taste.
